Sun damaged skin is an all too common problem. Melanoma (malignant transformation of a mole) is less common but much more dangerous.
We offer a comprehensive Dermatoscopy screening service for these skin problems.
Dermatoscopy is a technique used to closely examine a suspicious spot and is a recognised and effective way of identifying potentially cancerous skin changes.
We also offer Cryotherapy (freezing) treatment and minor operations should we see a skin lesion that we believe needs treatment. Minor operations at our practice can usually be booked within 1-2 weeks at a time of your choice.
We can refer you to the hospital for minor operations if cost is an issue for you. There is however usually a longer delay before receiving treatment if you choose to be referred to the hospital. If we suspect a Melanoma, then you will be seen more promptly by us and the hospital.
