For your convenience our nurses are able to offer Blood Withdrawal Services here at Stoke Medical Centre.
We understand the difficulty that some people have in getting transport to other areas, which has been the motivation for providing this further service. You can have your test following your doctors appointment, or if you know you will be needing a test, please book in with our reception staff in advance.
This service carries a minimum charge as it is not funded in any way by the District Health Board. See Our Fees for the cost of this service.
Please Note: A fully funded free service is still available at Medlab Specimen Collection Centres in Nelson City, Tahunanui, Richmond or at the Nelson Hospital Lab. You need to ring and book an appointment at the lab by calling 035238900.
RESULTS
You will be notified of any significant results of investigations (such as blood and urine tests) ordered by your doctor or nurse. This would either be through the myindici patient portal, a phone call or text message. All results however would be available to you on myindici.
